Ruth Musembi spent years pushing through exhaustion, brain fog, and anxiety before she understood she was navigating menopause — and even longer before she found the accurate information that helped her move from confusion to clarity, and eventually, to peace. Today, she speaks openly about that journey to break the silence and stigma that still surround menopause, particularly in African contexts, and to remind women that this stage of life can be one of renewed wisdom and purpose rather than diminishment.
Ruth brings this same commitment to honest, evidence-based communication into her professional life as a Communication and Sustainability Strategy Advisor with over 25 years of experience advising executive teams, boards, and institutions. A contributing author to the Taylor & Francis Routledge Handbook of Communication Ethics, Second Edition (2025) and a Fellow and Golden Honors Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, she is also Adjunct Faculty at universities in Kenya and at the Chartered Institute of PR in the UK.
